Confluence Vimto

 

An Ionesco daughter and out of Scorboro Ormolu, Confluence Vimto was one of the highest leading prices at 4,400gns when selling to an undisclosed buyer. Bred by A & G.J. Ogg, College Farm, Alkborough, Scunthorpe, Lincs this stylish heifer sported a Beef Value of LM41 and was the first to be offered at auction from the Confluence prefix, being rewarded with a first in her class.

Confluence Romeo

 

At the pedigree Limousin bull sale in March 2002 Confluence Romeo was one of the leading prices at  10,500gns. This was the Reserve Intermediate Champion, Confluence Romeo, from A & G.J. Ogg, College Farm, Scunthorpe. Sired by the 11,000gns Hartside Jacko, and out of Scorboro Ormolu, he was bought by W McLaren, Muirhouses Kirriemuir, Angus.

 

And he went on to produce.....

At the Perth Spring Show & Sale, February 2008 Reserve Overall went to the Junior Champion Bull, McLarens BNB, from Messrs W McLaren, Muirhouses, Kirriemuir. This June 2006 bull was sired by Confluence Romeo and is out of Lumbylaw Linette. Another bull heading to the islands he was purchased by commercial producer IH & M Mactaggart, Kintra Beach, Port Ellen, Isle of Islay for 7,000gns. Confluence Romeo, a Hartside Jacko son, was bought at Carlisle in 2002 by the McLarens for 10,500gns. So far, from a nine cow herd, he has sired the Reserve Overall Champion at Perth in 2006 and was the grand sire of the November 2007 Senior Champion at Perth.
